Assistant Account Executive Job Description:  

ADMINISTRATION: 

  • Prepare weekly, monthly activity reports 
  • Create, manage and maintain clips for clients and internal purposes 
  • Traffic and maintain samples/products, look books, press releases and inventory seasonal collections 
  • Maintain media-ready showroom 
  • Proficiency in time management 

MEDIA RELATIONS: 

  • Draft press materials (press releases, media alerts, pitch letters, bios, etc.)  
  • Prepare press kits 
  • Be able to research and create media lists 
  • Keep database up-to-date regularly 
  • Begin to understand strategy behind target media for each client 
  • Establish online and regional media contacts 
  • Build relationships with members of appropriate target media 

PR PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: 

  • Participate in brainstorms 
  • Add creative input and generate ideas for PR plans 
  • Become aware of leading industry influencers
