Just days ago, Saint Laurent officially announced that Hedi Slimane would step down as creative director after just four years in the role. The fashion world had plenty of time to prepare itself — rumors swirled for months and the designer had one hell of a goodbye tour, including an intimate fall 2016 couture-esque show at the label's newly remodeled atelier in Paris — but that didn't make the announcement any less jarring.
Also jarring: one unexpected celebrity paid tribute to Slimane on Sunday at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles: Taylor Swift, who arrived in a black, sparkly jumpsuit from the aforementioned Paris show — the collection that proved to be his last for the house. Aside from the occasional accessory and editorial shoot, Swift has never made such a high-profile appearance in Saint Laurent, so we're thinking this was a sweet tribute to the designer on his way out. Either that, or this is just another opportunity for the singer to prove her love for a body-con catsuit. Lord knows she looks great in them.
