It's become a trend among famous "are they or aren't they" couples — those celebrity pairs who are rarely (if ever) seen together in public — to officially declare their relationship status by walking a major red carpet together. Two recent examples are Bella Hadid and The Weeknd, whose hush-hush courtship had people guessing until they arrived hand in hand at the Grammys, as well as Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, who (almost) successfully avoided much paparazzi action ahead of their appearance at the Met Gala.
On Monday night, another young pair that's kept relatively mum about their relationship decided to make it red carpet official: Chloe Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham stepped out together in Los Angeles for the premiere of Moretz's new film, "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising," which hits theaters on May 20. The 19-year-old actress opted for a lingerie-inspired Alexander McQueen dress for the evening, while Beckham kept it casual in slim denim, Chelsea boots and a tailored jacket with rolled-up sleeves.
Last week, she came clean about their relationship status — which was only hinted at through a series of cryptic Instagram photos — on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live" show on Bravo, but this was a big step for their budding romance. Do we think Mama Beckham approves of Moretz's premiere ensemble? Talk about mother-in-law goals.
