While recently bopping around the internet, I stumbled upon this makeup tutorial Lily Aldridge did for Vogue called "The 90-Second Easy Summer Beauty Look." I watched it, obviously, because I'm not exactly in a place in my life to turn down beauty advice from Victoria's Secret Angels. Aldridge spends a portion of the video discussing her love for highlighter, which I recently learned is a passion we both share.
I've been a big fan of the en vogue Dewy Skin Thing for a while now, but I couldn't figure out how to replicate it without looking greasy. When I ran to a beauty editor friend of mine for product counsel, she immediately recommended this glitter-based (!) highlighter from Korean makeup and skin-care brand Too Cool for School. In two shiny, pinky shades, the Dinoplatz Pearl Bay Invasion Highlighter packs a surprisingly glowy punch; just a dab on the apples of your cheeks provides all the non-greasy dewiness for which I've been yearning. Said beauty editor friend also suggested I tap a bit in the corners of my eyes and along the ridge of my nose as highlighter is, apparently, meant to be worn, so I'm working on that, too. I should have my own 90-Second Easy Summer Beauty Look down pat by mid-July. Thanks, Lil'!
