The Cat-Eye Sunglasses of Dhani's Dreams

The ideal set for a small-faced cat lover.

Given how much I love cats, you'll probably be surprised to learn I don't yet own a pair of cat-eye sunglasses. In reality, I need another pair of sunglasses like I need a hole in my head, but there has always been a cat-eye-shaped hole in my collection. The (very, very #firstworld) problem is that I have an abnormally small and narrow face, which most frames tend to overwhelm, especially cat-eye styles which are meant to be wider than others. I've never tried on a pair that didn't look weird on me until last week's launch party for celebrity stylist Kate Young's third eyewear collection for Tura at Maryam Nassir Zadeh in New York's Lower East Side.

I grabbed a pair of the all-black cat-eyes to try on expecting to look insane, but they were actually very flattering and looked as chic as I'd always dreamt of looking.

Since these frames aren't exactly cheap and I'd just consumed a Sofia mini on an empty stomach, I decided not to pull the trigger then; but since I'm still thinking about them (sober) a week later, I think I should probably do it.
