Spring is in full swing — which means you've probably been working extra hard on that bikini body of yours (theoretically, anyway!) for at least the last few months, right? Don't you think you deserve some kind of reward? We do!
How's this for a tasty little treat: Fashionista is teaming up with contemporary luxury label Maiyet on a pop-up, gourmet ice cream truck social in New York City this week. Is your mouth watering yet? Read on.
From May 11-15, the #MaiyetMelts ice cream truck will be stationed around the city serving up delicious, artisanal chocolate cookie and vanilla ice cream sandwiches from locally sourced East Village creamery Davey's Ice Cream for just $5. You'll also be able to snag limited-edition tees and tanks. Better yet, proceeds from the ice cream sales will benefit NEST, an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to training and developing artisan businesses in Varanasi, India. It doesn't get much sweeter than that.
The week of yumminess includes a #MaiyetMelts ice cream social with Fashionista on Thursday, May 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Maiyet store in SoHo where Declan Kearney, Maiyet's creative director, will be interviewed by Alyssa Vingan Klein, our executive editor. Want to get in on the fun? It's free! Just click here to register (first come, first serve) and you'll also be signed up to receive the Maiyet newsletter and a special Fashionista code for 30% off your next Maiyet purchase.
Be sure to check out maiyetmelts.com throughout the week for specific details on where you can find the #MaiyetMelts ice cream truck stationed throughout NYC — and follow @maiyet on Twitter for even more info. We can't wait to see you there!
