Selena Gomez kicked off the first two stops of her "Revival" world tour in Nevada over the weekend — on Friday in Las Vegas and Sunday in Fresno — and it's clear her concert attire has evolved in line with her recent fashion evolution. (She started working with stylist Kate Young and then Christian Classen to reflect a more sophisticated and adult stage of her career, and the results have been on point.)
The 23-year-old singer is the most-followed person on Instagram, where her costumes are already being dissected in minute detail. Under the direction of stylist Classen, Gomez strikes a balance between moody chanteuse and futuristic pop star in custom looks by Monse, Sonia Rykiel, Jessica Jones (Taylor Swift's go-to costume designer) and many more. Classen also designed the costumes for the dancers, band, and backup vocals, with consulting help from Jones.

Gomez has long been a big supporter of the buzzy new brand from Oscar de la Renta alums Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, and opens her show with a custom three-part Monse look: a gown, a cocktail dress and a Swarovski-embellished bodysuit. The designers submitted 10 sketches for consideration at Classen's request, according to a statement from the brand, and made two bodysuits for the final chosen look: one nude and the other black. According to Swarovski, Monse used 96,480 crystals to create the shimmering pieces, which Gomez will alternate wearing throughout the tour. The singer pairs the opening look with Louis Vuitton boots and, at one point, a black Michael Schmidt masquerade mask. (Schmidt has designed pieces for "American Horror Story," too.)
Gomez then changes into a sexier Karl Lagerfeld costume that looks like patent leather pants, an embellished jacket and a sheer maxi-skirt layer. "That was one where I put on the actual costume when it was done and I was just completely blown away," Gomez told InStyle about the custom design. She wears it with Giuseppe Zanotti boots.
Gomez switches gears again, then donning an embroidered gold bodysuit custom-made by Jones, the under-the-radar designer responsible for Swift's sexy "1989" tour looks. Jones embellished the futuristic piece with Swarovski crystals, and Gomez paired it with thigh-high Fausto Puglisi gold boots.
Here's a closeup shot of the suit's impressive construction from Jones's Instagram.
For her final look, Gomez dons a custom Sonia Rykiel rainbow metallic jumpsuit, paired with Louis Vuitton boots and an embellished, frayed denim jacket designed by Los Angeles-based brand C2H2 and reworked by Classen.
Note: This article has been updated to state that Classen has been styling Gomez since last year and he designed the costumes for the dancers and backup vocalists. Jones served as a consultant on those looks.
