If you're one of the millions who has fallen in love with Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer of Comedy Central's "Broad City," you have costume designer Staci Greenbaum, in part, to thank — she's the one responsible for Abbi's steady normcore look, as well as Ilana's more free-spirited (and occasionally inappropriate) styles, which have set the tone for their character development since episode one.
On May 17, come hear Greenbaum speak about her work on "Broad City," "Odd Mom Out" and "Difficult People," and how she traded what she describes as "having low positions on big-budget projects" to having a "big position on a lower-budget show" — a trade-off that has clearly worked out for her. Those in attendance can participate in a 30- to 45-minute Q&A with Greenbaum, as well as have the chance to network with Fashionista editors and fellow event-goers. There will be food and drinks (if you're over 21), and we hope you leave feeling informed and inspired.
The talk will take place at Space 530 in Manhattan on Tuesday, May 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 (to cover the cost of catering), and can be purchased here. There are only 50 seats available, so act fast! Hope to see you there.
