Throughout her career, model, documentarian and Cool British Person Alexa Chung has fronted campaigns for brands including Eyeko, Madewell, Longchamp and Mulberry. However, her latest project has her revisiting familiar territory: After last year's collaborations with AG, she's now the face of its fall 2016 ad campaign — her first for the brand outside of the imagery promoting the aforementioned collaborations.
"At the risk of sounding cliché, there’s really no one quite like her," said Johnathan Crocker, vice president of global communications for AG, of Chung. "Trying to define what makes her so unique is close to impossible, but that’s ultimately her appeal, and why we’re thrilled to be continuing our partnership."
Chung may have a distinctly British sensibility about her, but in these images, she's every bit the cool New Yorker. Photographed in Williamsburg, Brooklyn by Theo Wenner — who has previously shot editorials for Dazed, i-D and Rolling Stone — the images have a relaxed, downtown feel that echoes those of her AG predecessor, Daria Werbowy. "[I'm] thrilled to be asked back to model the AG Fall ’16 campaign," said Chung via release. "I guess they missed me as much as I missed them." (We missed you too, Alexa. We missed you too.)
