A little over two months after the announcement of Anthony Vaccarello taking on the creative director role at Saint Laurent, teasers have been released to showcase his vision for the French fashion house. They made their debut on Saint Laurent's Instagram and are the first posts on the social media platform since it was wiped clean upon Hedi Slimane's departure.
The short films were directed by Nathalie Canguilhem, who's based in London and has worked with Vaccarello before on his namesake line and Versus Versace in the past. But here's the caveat: There are little to no clothes — unless you count the black bandeau top and a tiny glimpse of a waistband. Of course, these are teasers, so they really did do the trick. Now we're even more curious to know what the designer has in store for Saint Laurent.
UPDATE, 7/6: A trio of new, teaser-y campaign photos hit Instagram on Tuesday, though we don't know much more about Vaccarello's vision for Saint Laurent. His models (including newbie IMG signee and biomedical engineering major Rebecca Longendyke) still aren't wearing any clothing, aside from one image that features pants. But hopefully this means we're closer to the full campaign reveal, and a better idea of what Vaccarello has planned for the brand.
