I'm always on the hunt for new e-commerce shops, so when I heard about Curriculum, I was excited to take a look. The total amount of offerings is slim, but that's only because this site only champions the work of young designers providing accessible price points. Currently, most of Curriculum's roster hails from Australia, but founder Nicki Podvalej, based in Toronto, aims to feature apparel and accessories from labels that aren't as commonly known in North America.
Fast-forward to perusing Curriculum earlier this week. When the summer heat is in full swing — and believe me, it is swinging (swanging?) this week — my wardrobe choices are narrowed down to dresses, skirts and the occasional pair of culottes . This usually leads me into a dress-shopping kick, and my latest coveted find is this wrap dress from Aussie designer Celeste Tesoriero. The navy-and-black color combo is right up my alley, the organza panel on the chest being an edgy, yet delicate detail.
But what's most appealing is the high slit on the side. Although it looks fairly revealing on the model — borderline Bella Hadid circa at this year's Cannes — I'm a good seven inches shorter than this woman, so I definitely won't look as risqué as you'd expect. Still, though, if I want to channel my inner Hadid, this dress could be a nice way to, along with pizza.
