Just last week — and in time for Father's Day — Clare V. released a capsule collection created by Beastie Boy Mike D (also known as Michael Diamond). And while it sounds a bit random, this isn't the first time the New York City rapper has dabbled in design. About four years ago, he collaborated with Flavor Paper on a toile-style wallpaper originally made for his Brooklyn brownstone.

Now with designer Clare Vivier — who has partnered in the past with Jenni Kayne, & Other Stories, Equipment and many others — Diamond has produced a generous selection of accessories with a masculine touch. It includes totes, graphic tees, luggage tags, passport cases, wallets, sunglass sleeves, laptop cases, a printed bandana and Nixon-brand watches. One of the more expensive offerings, a canvas weekend bag for $525, has already sold out in black. It might mean that maybe, just maybe, Diamond's knack for design is worth another round next season. In an interview with Billboard, he did express his interest in a second collection, perhaps with the addition of bright colors or a "very manly apron."
