Leave it to Jean Paul Gaultier to make a statement. On Wednesday evening, the French fashion designer attended the London premiere of "Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie," in which he happens to have a cameo alongside a number of industry favorites. On the red carpet, Gaultier happily showed off his outfit: a suit, sneakers and sparkling top with the Union Jack on it — a cheeky ode to Britannia. It's gaudy and perfect, something that Geri Halliwell would've totally pulled off if she was still playing her red-headed pop persona, Ginger Spice.

It's a timely look, as well, considering the recent news surrounding Brexit. Could this be a message to the public about his own views? Probably, yes. (Side note: He also brought back his popular late-night show "Eurotrash," which ran from 1993 to 2007 on BBC's Channel 4 for one night only on the eve of the EU referendum.) Gaultier has paid homage to the U.K. with the Union Jack print before, most recently with his punk rock-infused fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection. Whether you're pro-Brexit or not, we must all agree that he looks absolutely fab. (Sorry, we just had to go there.)
