Three things to know about me: 1. I perennially crave sushi, 2. I have a twin sister (no, she doesn’t look like me) and she’s basically my favorite person alive, and 3. I drink 7-10 cups of tea per day. (Although as far as favorite beverages are concerned, champagne is a pretty close second.)

Like a lot of people who hope to work in the industry, I grew up reading a lineup of fashion glossies every month, dreaming of the day where I’d see my byline appear online or in print. But even as a middle-schooler who stashed copies of Teen Vogue alongside her French textbook, it didn’t even occur to me that writing for a fashion publication could be an actual career. As in, a job in which you are actually paid money.

Fast forward to my sophomore year at NYU, where I hyperventilate as I begin my first-ever internship in the fashion closet at Glamour, and then on the day of my 20th birthday, where I started working as an freelance editorial assistant at Style.com. (My birthday always falls sometime during NYFW… I like to think it was fate that led me - and my twin sister, too - on the path to working in fashion.) In the year after I graduated, I contributed to the websites of Vogue, Teen Vogue, Glamour and Allure, in addition to Refinery29, which was a natural progression from my years as a student dividing my time between Condé Nast HQ and Washington Square Park. I’ve always loved the mix of industry savvy and authentic voice that Fashionista brought to the world of digital fashion media, and am pretty freakin’ excited to start sharing my love of all things beauty and fashion with you guys!

In my free time, I love to stalk Chrissy Teigen’s Instagram (If you’re reading this, Chrissy Teigen, I love your cookbook and also, hi!) read works of classic lit (yep, I was that English class kid) and discover new places to eat at/spend my entire paycheck on. When I’m not writing, you can find me trying out every new liquid eyeliner to hit the market - and then writing about it, of course.
