What does it take to become a sought-after stylist in the fashion industry? Kate Young, the woman responsible for transforming Selena Gomez, Dakota Johnson and Sienna Miller into red carpet darlings, has a pretty good idea. Which is why we're honored to be hosting her at our next meetup in New York City.
On June 14, come hear Young speak about her formative years as an assistant at Vogue magazine, styling the first-ever cover of Teen Vogue, and what it's like to work on major ad campaigns, editorials, runway shows and the Oscars red carpet in today's fast-paced environment. Those in attendance can participate in a 30- to 45-minute Q&A with Young and our Executive Editor Alyssa Vingan Klein, as well as have the chance to network with Fashionista editors and fellow event-goers. There will be food and drinks (if you're over 21), and we hope you leave feeling informed and inspired.
The talk will take place at Space 530 in Manhattan on Tuesday, June 14, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 (to cover the cost of catering), and can be purchased here. There are only 50 seats available, so act fast!
Can't make June 14? We're also hosting Jeriana San Juan — the former "Gossip Girl" costume designer behind Bahz Luhrmann's upcoming Netflix series, "The Get Down" — on August 16. You can reserve tickets here.
