When I was in college, a potentially embarrassing portion of my wardrobe consisted of shirts that I wore as dresses. Why? I was 5'2", broke (shirts are cheaper!) and felt pretty good about my legs. Plus, most actual dresses fall a little longer on me than they're meant to.
These days I might be in a slightly better position to afford real dresses (and tailor them if necessary), but my old habits returned a couple of weeks ago when I spotted this striped tunic at Cos. Initially, I thought it might actually be a dress until I considered that the Scandinavian brand is much more likely to produce a long tunic to wear over pants than a mini dress. But with its long, oversize fit and A-line shape, I think it totally works... right?
Cos long oversize striped top, $99, available at Cos.
