It's almost the weekend, which means it's almost time to treat yo' self. Allow us to recommend an easy, inexpensive, supremely chill means of doing exactly that: this DIY turmeric face mask. Beauty vlogger BiancaRenee breaks it down in her video (above), which has currently been viewed close to a million times, NBD. According to BiancaRenee, turmeric (yep, the kind you cook with) can do pretty much everything: It brightens skin, de-clogs pores, treats acne and eczema, fights inflammation, wards off dark undereye circles, soothes puffiness — everything short of bringing about world peace. So this concoction is ideal for just about any skin type.

To create this mask yourself, you’ll need turmeric, almond oil, flour, and milk, all ingredients you can easily stock up on at the grocery store if you don't already have them in your kitchen. (Note: You could also substitute coconut oil or olive oil for the almond oil if those are easier to get your hands on.)

You can watch BiancaRenee’s video to see the exact steps and how she applies the mask, but the gist is that she mixes everything together and spreads it on carefully, avoiding her eyebrows. Let it sit for 20 minutes, then wash it off with lukewarm water. If you’re left with a yellow-tinged face (or a funky turmeric smell), fret not: Just follow up the mask with a gentle cleanser (we like Glossier Milky Jelly), and what will remain instead is your smoothest, glowiest complexion ever.
