August Vogue cover star and the blonder of the two Cool-Girl Model Sisters of The Moment™ Gigi Hadid has earned herself another plum gig: She's the face of Tommy Hilfiger's newest fragrance. News (and even a few photos) of Hadid's campaign for The Girl — not to be confused with the label's preexisting fragrance, Tommy Girl, or with Carolina Herrera's newly launched, Karlie Kloss-fronted Good Girl scent — leaked last week, but Friday marks the official public launch of the campaign. Hadid also created her first capsule collection of ready-to-wear and accessories in partnership with Tommy Hilfiger, which, according to a statement from the label, "further celebrates her modern take on style fused with Hilfiger's signature 'classic American cool' heritage."
The ad campaign will appear in print and online media placements, as well as on Tommy Hilfiger and Hadid's social channels. Of her partnership with Tommy Hilfiger, Hadid says: "I've loved the brand my whole life... They were always the campaigns that I wanted to be part of, so to do it now is so much fun. The energy on set was everything that I expected from a Tommy shoot. The feeling you get when you look at the campaign is the same feeling we had when we were shooting it, playful and spirited, so that's really exciting."
Here's an exclusive look at some behind-the-scenes shots from the oh-so-nautical campaign, complete with an adorable GIF of Hadid spritzing the scent (which will be out in August, if you were wondering) while on a boat.
