Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop has a certain reputation for selling wildly expensive items, examples of which we have chronicled on this very website for some time now. (Like, right now, you could drop $120 on a glorified picnic basket called a "Modern English Garden Trug," which, as the description reads, is intended "to serve as a harvest tool.") But Goop's high price points sometimes benefit people other than Paltrow — occasionally, she will even donate your hard-earned Benjamins to charity.
For Goop's third Celebrity Closet Sale, Paltrow assembled her merry band of celebrity friends — Beyoncé regrettably not included — to donate their stuff to Goop's goodwill. Starting Thursday, readers will be able to shop the clothing and accessories of seven Goop-approved famous people: Lena Dunham, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Meyer, Anne Hathaway, Rachel Zoe, Jill Kargman and, of course, Paltrow herself. Meanwhile, the sale's profits will go towards two very deserving nonprofits: DonorsChoose, which allows public school teachers to crowdsource funds for their classrooms, and Children's Rights, which advocates for the millions of children in foster care in the U.S.
And these are not just any exorbitantly priced, celebrity-pre-owned items. Per a press release, "a pink Givenchy dress that Riccardo Tisci shortened for [Hathaway]" or "a Valentino coat with stars from [Paltrow]'s closet" could be yours for $795 and $2,500, respectively! And if you buy both, we bet Paltrow will make you a moderately portioned plate of her famous turkey meatballs. Sounds tempting, I know.
Those with the means can shop these items and more at Goop.com right now.
Note: This story has been updated to reflect that this is Goop's third, not first, Celebrity Closet Sale.
