Red carpet appearances must be a real treat for Kristen Stewart. As one of the faces of Chanel, she has almost every piece from the French fashion house at her disposal. Her latest pick? The final look from Karl Lagerfeld's fall 2016 runway show, which she wore to the New York City premiere of "Café Society," a new film from Woody Allen set in the 1930s.
According to her stylist Tara Swennen, Stewart's cinematic roles often inspire her red carpet looks — so it makes sense here that she sported such a fanciful dress. To keep it from looking too costume-y, hairstylist Kylee Heath transformed her platinum bob into what she calls a "modern knotted mohawk," which instantly added some edge to her outfit.
And always one to change out of her red carpet ensemble as soon as she can, Stewart switched gears and dressed into something much more casual for the premiere's after-party. While we're not sure how she managed to comfortably sport a beanie and a leather jacket during this legitimate heat wave, we do love how cool and laid-back she looks (as per usual).
So, which style do you prefer on Stewart? Personally, it's hard for us to choose. As much as we do love Chanel, it's certainly refreshing to see an actress take the reigns and show off her own personal style.
