Verizon buys Yahoo for $4.83 billion
Putting an end to a reportedly months-long bidding war, Yahoo is set to sell its "core internet business" to Verizon, which will include (among other things) the tech company's growing Yahoo Style and Yahoo Beauty verticals in addition to the e-commerce destination Polyvore. {The Hollywood Reporter}

Costume Institute Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton will be honored with the Lord & Taylor Fashion Oracle award at this year's Fashion Group International awards. Previous recipients include Justin Timberlake and editors Glenda Bailey and Deborah Needleman. {WWD}

How Michael Kors is creating conversion and brand loyalty through Instagram
Like many companies, Michael Kors has its own workaround to Instagram's inability to include links in captions. On InstaKors, which is linked to in the brand's bio, users can find a fully linked reproduction of its Instagram feed. But the brand takes things one step further by giving InstaKors shoppers access to special promotions and early access to new collections, thereby creating conversion and customer loyalty. {Glossy}

Bella Hadid lands multiple international Vogue covers
Not to be outdone by Gigi's current U.S. Vogue cover, Bella has nabbed not one, but two spots on international editions of the fashion glossy. The younger Hadid sister appears alongside rapper/music producer G-Dragon on the August cover of Vogue China, and solo on the coveted September issue of Vogue Japan. {MTV}
