I.e. right now in New York.

Fun fact: It's hot as hell outside! And according to the trusty folks over at the National Weather Service, it's going to stay that way for a while — at least through the weekend. In times like these, I tend to avoid going outside unless, A) I'll be mere feet from the ocean, a pool, or another refreshing water source; or B) I can wear as little clothing as possible, rendering many of my most lightweight ensembles slightly NSFW.

Fortunately, a recent trip to Reformation provided me with a solution: I stumbled upon this tie-strap top that's almost impossibly airy, making it ideal for steamy days like these. The linen tank (which comes in both an adorable blue stripe and a chic, simple black option) is cut straight across for a modest silhouette, but the adjustable straps allow you to customize how low it hangs. The raw-edged bottom fringe gives it an extra festive summer vibe, and while it'd be a great choice for a day at the beach or lounging in the park, you could easily get away with tucking it into some smart, high-waisted shorts or a pencil skirt for the office — that is, if you don't decide to play hooky and head to the Hamptons instead.
