If British Vogue calls an event "a highlight of London's social calendar," they must be right, right? This description in question was in reference to the Serpentine Galleries' annual Summer Party, which took place in Kensington Gardens with quite the extensive guest list. This year, decidedly non-British person Tommy Hilfiger co-hosted with the likes of Sienna Miller, Naomi Campbell, Georgia May Jagger, Ellie Goulding and Cressida Bonas (eat your heart out, Prince Harry!) wearing his designs. Naturally, the "It" Brits of the bunch nailed the English garden party dress code. Americans, take note.
Anyway, let's talk about what Miller wore to sip champagne amongst London's finest fashion folks. The easy, '90s-inspired slip dress is undergoing a resurgence, and Miller has been an early adopter all along. With subtly embellished spaghetti straps, the otherwise simple piece flashed a bit of shine while the shoes' block heels (also by Tommy Hilfiger) were appropriate for clomping around in the grass — both fitting qualities for a garden party, I'm sure.
