It's been a whirlwind couple of years for Colorado-raised model Taylor Hill. Since commanding the industry's attention as a newbie in the 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the 20-year-old has been on the fast track to superstardom. Not only did she officially become a Victoria's Secret Angel last year, but she's also starred in campaigns for Juicy Couture, Versus Versace, Ports 1961 and Miu Miu; walked the runways for top-tier houses like Balmain, Chanel, Fendi and Givenchy; and, most recently, scored an all-important beauty contract with Lancome. But it's safe to say that she's only getting started.
On Monday, Topshop announced that Hill is the face of the brand for fall 2016, in a campaign styled by the retailer's creative director Kate Phelan and shot by Giampaolo Sgura. "She is a social supermodel and a young woman with style and personality; she is every Topshop girl rolled into one," Phelan said in a release.
It's also likely that Hill's Instagram following of 4.2 million helped her to secure the gig, but landing a Topshop campaign is nothing if not an indicator of big things to come. She's joining the ranks of supermodels like Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid, who have all fronted ads for the brand in seasons past. Topshop also has a keen eye for up-and-comers — it booked Hailey Baldwin for her first big-name campaign, for example.
To celebrate the release of Hill's ads, Topshop also released an adorable "Day in the Life" video featuring the American beauty and her dog, Tate, going about their very chic day in New York City. Models, they're just like us! (I.e. they have full-on conversations with their dogs.) Watch the clip in full below.
