Fashionista's "How to Make It in Fashion" conference is heading back to New York City on Nov. 4, and with our lineup of speakers, you're not going to want to miss out. In fact, we have one of the most well-loved designers in the industry (and in Hollywood) on board as our designer keynote — none other than Christian Siriano.
After learning the ropes in London at the houses of Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen, Siriano struck out on his own, launching his eponymous collection of show-stopping evening gowns and ready-to-wear. His designs are a red carpet favorite among A-list stars — he's dressed everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to Sarah Jessica Parker to Rihanna — as well as some of the most powerful women in the world, including First Lady Michelle Obama. He's also navigated the world of retail collaborations with ease, partnering on wildly successful lines with Payless, Nordstrom and, most recently, Lane Bryant. He's an advocate for fearless, strong women and aims to help them feel beautiful no matter what their size. (Remember when he jumped in for Leslie Jones when no designers would dress her for her big "Ghostbusters" premiere? Now that's a boss move.)
If you want to hear Siriano's advice for making it as a designer and running a business; take in panels on the rise of menswear, how to get a fashion label off the ground and what it means to be an influencer today; and get one-on-one mentoring with someone who's made it in your chosen field — get your tickets today, right here.
