Getting to know the new team behind Band of Outsiders
After Band of Outsiders closed down in 2015 after failing to pay its debts, Antwerp-based designers Niklaus Hodel, Matthias Weber and Florian Feder — along with the financial backing of CLCC — are set to revive the indie label at this season's New York Fashion Week. "It won't be a copy of something someone else created with his blood, sweat and tears," said Hodel, referencing Scott Sternberg's absence from the relaunch. After learning that Rihanna's Fenty x Puma show would be sitting out New York Fashion Week, the event's spring 2017 location was up in the air. However, Puma is reportedly seeking a time slot during Paris Fashion Week, which is taking place from Sept. 27 to Oct. 5. {WWD}

Kardashians win legal battle over cosmetics line
The Kardashian sisters recently sued Kardashian Beauty licensee Haven Beauty for using their likeness for promotional purposes without permission — and on Wednesday, the U.S. District Central Court of California ruled in the Kardashians's favor. "[The] Kardashians have established the strong likelihood that Haven Beauty intentionally infringed upon the Kardashian trademarks; namely, by continuing to use the Kardashian trademarks in connection with the promotion of Kardashian Beauty-branded cosmetic products without paying any royalties due under the license agreement," wrote judge James Selna. {WWD}

Just don't call it "The British 'September Issue'"
British Vogue is getting its own documentary later this fall, which will offer viewers an inside glimpse into the daily workings of Editor-in-Chief Alexandra Shulman and her team of editors, in addition to footage of shoots with models including Kate Moss and Edie Campbell. The film, titled "Absolutely Fashion: Inside British Vogue," will be split into two 60-minute segments that will air on BBC Two on Sept. 8. {WWD}

British parliament members call for ban on microbeads
Members of British Parliament are calling for a worldwide ban on plastic microbeads in cosmetics. According to the Environmental Audit Committee, the tiny beads used in some shower gels and facial scrubs can end up polluting oceans and negatively impacting marine life. "Cosmetic companies' voluntary approach to phasing out plastic microbeads simply won't wash," said committee chair Mary Creagh. "We need a full legal ban." {BBC
