Watch Style Blogger Kristina Bazan's Music Video Debut

A pop star is born.

Already one of the most influential personal style bloggers in the world, Kristina Bazan is taking a turn with her career. Much like models "who act now," the L'Oréal Paris ambassador is a blogger who sings, too. On Monday morning, Bazan debuted the music video for her debut song "Out," which was previously released in May.

According to WWD, the 22-year-old Swiss-born, Los Angeles-based blogger always aspired to be a singer, way before she became a favorite among high-end brands with a multi-million-strong fanbase. (Bazan boasts 2.4 million followers on Instagram alone.) In fact, she attended music school from a young age and, in typical Cool Teen™ fashion, started a band with three friends called The Phew.

With "Out," Bazan's musical image certainly reflects her style and persona on social media. Intermittently dressed between an Elie Saab dress and a La Perla corset — accessorized with a choker, of course — Bazan attempts to achieve the typical tropes of a pop star sex pot. The song, written by Bazan herself, sounds like something you'd hear during a "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer, and the music video showcases similar imagery as well: a mysterious room of billowing curtains, furniture wrapped in plastic and strung-up papers; a mysterious game of dominos; a mysterious match on fire — what for? We don't know, but damn it, we're intrigued. Eventually, a mysterious dude shows up, the two make out, dude leaves and Bazan is alone. Fin.

Bazan is the latest in a string of industry personalities who have branched out into pop, including Daphne Guinness and Baptiste Giabiconi. If her song stringed with more "ooh's" than verses leaves you wanting to hear more, you're in luck. As the music video states, this is only the prologue for Bazan's musical career — a full-length album is in the works and expected to release early next year.
