After joining the activewear brand as executive creative director earlier this summer, Tim Coppens will debut his first collection for Under Armour Sportswear in September. We got a sneak peek at the lookbook for "UAS," and the collection is full of sportif parkas, leggings and outerwear — all with the cool sensibility for which Coppens is known. {Fashionista Inbox}

Refinery29 receives $45 million in funding from Time Warner Inc.
Announced on Thursday, Time Warner Inc.'s Turner Networks has taken a stake in Refinery29 in a $45 million funding round that will "help expand its digital footprint and capture the next generation of consumers." Scripps Networks Interactive also participated in the round. While the companies are not commenting on Refinery29's current valuation, a recent report in Recode estimated that it was looking at $500 million following this round of funding. {TechCrunch}

In the face of declining sales — due in part to the rise of online retailers — Macy’s revealed that it plans to close about 100 stores out of its total 728. The bulk of the closings are slated for early 2017, with locations to be revealed at a later date. {WWD}

The UK's Labor Party is calling for an inquiry into Asos's working practices
Labor Party leadership candidate Owen Smith is calling on Parliament's Business Committee to look into Asos's treatment of its workers, fearing that the e-tailer could be "the new Sports Direct," referring to a popular sports goods chain that suffered a scandal after workers' horrible labor conditions were made public. Asos responded to the inquiry to Vogue UK: "We were surprised to see these allegations from Owen given that it was the first we had heard from him and he's never been inside the warehouse," said a spokesperson. "We work incredibly hard with XPO (the logistics company that manages the site) to create a positive, supportive, healthy working environment for the team in Barnsley. As we have now said on the record several times before - we don't do zero-hours contracts, people can take toilet and water breaks whenever they want, and we pay above minimum wage." {Bloomberg}{Vogue UK}

Speaking of modeling mother-daughter duos, legendary muse Pat Cleveland and her dopplegänger daughter, Anna, are the stars of Neiman Marcus's fall campaign. Uzo Aduba is Essence's September issue cover star
"Orange Is the New Black" actress Uzo Aduba has nabbed Essence's September issue cover spot, and doesn't hold back as far as calling out the entertainment industry's unrealistic standards for women. "This business will try to convince you that you're not enough," she says. "That you're not pretty enough, thin enough, talented enough, interesting enough, experienced enough, and I say, 'Enough. Enough with that!'" {Essence}

Rebecca Taylor is doing denim her way with the launch of her newest label, La Vie Rebecca Taylor. The collection will be exclusively sold at Rebecca Taylor stores (as well as her e-commerce site), Nordstrom and Shopbop and will retail at a lower price point than her main line ($95-$395).
