I must admit that I've been pretty lazy with my summer footwear game this year. Part of the reason why is because I almost always wear sneakers, which means pedicures are rare and I can't rock a pair of sandals if my feet are gross. But just the other week I treated myself to a trip to the nail salon and my toes are currently sporting a sweet "Tumblr Pink" hue. This led me to impulsively purchasing a brand new pair of sandals — luckily for 50 percent off — so I can show off my fashion-forward pedi.
I've had my eye on these Topshop sandals all summer because I've had a strong affinity towards all things with grommets. (Those little metal circles are everywhere: on jackets, jeans, dresses, handbags, skirts, tops, you name it.) I decided that footwear had the longest lifespan for this microtrend and these sandals are the perfect choice, in my opinion. The only thing is that I didn't pull the trigger to purchase a pair until mid-way through August. Now here we are.
So I'm making the most of them until I can no longer do so this year. I'll certainly be milking as many wears as I can up into the fall. The block heel makes this pair super comfy and an easy way to dress up any outfit, which means it'll be put to good use during New York Fashion Week, too. That reminds me… I better schedule another pedicure.
