How does one properly celebrate cleaning up at the Olympics? I, for one, wouldn't know, but look at this year's crop of American gymnasts, who won nine medals as a team, the most by any nation since 1972. They covered Sports Illustrated, kissed Zac Efron, ate McDonalds with Russians and took ab-tastic Instagrams on Copacabana Beach. To cap off the two-week-long gold rush, Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian — the fifth member of the Final Five, Gabby Douglas, was absent — brought the party to the Closing Ceremony, but not before they staged an informal group photo shoot at the Olympic Village.
If you weren't following this foursome (plus Douglas) before, you'll want to now. In Sunday evening's Instagram spree, the teammates posted a series of photos that showed off their all-American Polo Ralph Lauren uniforms: white khaki shorts, striped shirts, ribbon belts, boat shoes and crisp button-downs in varying shades of red, white and navy.
Biles, five-time medal winner and Team USA's official flag bearer, made the uniforms look extra-patriotic carrying the nine-foot pole. (For scale: She's 4'9".)
'Til next time, Team USA!
