The White Booties Maura Can't Stop Thinking About But Definitely Doesn't Need

I'm not sure when it happened, exactly, but one day late last winter, I looked up from the floor of my closet and realized that the majority of the shoes I had been wearing on a daily basis were ankle booties. Six months or so later, I'm thrilled to report that my obsession is still going strong, but it's a daily struggle — there's always a new pair of boots on my mind, and there's always a reason to spend my money in that direction. It's become my uniform, and it's my responsibility to uphold it, isn't it?

That's what I tell myself, anyway.

My latest source of yearning comes in the form of these white booties by New York City-based architectural footwear brand Aska. Not only are they the perfect height, both in heel and general length, but they have a distinctively structural silhouette that makes them unlike any other boot I currently own. Plus, that white shade is definitely versatile enough to wear all year long. How could I go wrong?
