It's no surprise that Diane Kruger snagged an invite to Vanity Fair's 2016 International Best-Dressed List party with Saks Fifth Avenue on Wednesday night. We probably feature the actress every or so month for her praiseworthy outfits, from a poppy-printed Alexander McQueen dress to a summer-friendly Hawaiian-style shirt. Her latest happens to be a look that's fresh off the New York Fashion Week runway, thanks to Jason Wu and his spring 2017 collection.

Though Kruger wore this design well before its planned retail date, she pulls it off. (Naturally.) The cold shoulder trend seems overplayed by now — and, according to Eva Chen, it is — but Wu placed his own fresh spin by adding a subtle thin strap to the dress's neckline. We love how Kruger juxtaposed her outfit's linear silhouette with a half-updo of soft curls. Since her dress is a bright combination of blue and orange, more neutral-toned accessories — in the form of simple black sandal heels and a white handbag — are a solid choice.

Well, done, Diane. But did we ever expect anything less?
