We'll admit, we editors often take the privilege of attending a week-long cavalcade of fashion shows and parties that are industry-exclusive for granted. With that in mind, we've rounded up all the best events that are open to the public and taking place during New York Fashion Week, which kicks off on Sept. 7. From makeovers with beauty experts to a fashion show at Madison Square Garden, we have a feeling there's something for everyone. Mark your calendars!

John Varvatos "From New Heights"

Westfield World Trade Center, 185 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10007

The designer is collaborating with photographer Karsten Staiger to present a digital exhibition entitled "From New Heights" in the newly opened Westfield World Trade Center. The show features Staiger's images of the city projected on 19 large-format screens in the new shopping hub's underground concourses and shopping areas.

Bluemercury Fashion Facial

Kendall + Kylie Fall Collection Launch

The Gap Is Open

Tommy Pier

The designer is pulling out all of the stops for New York Fashion Week. In addition to the runway show taking place on Sept. 9, Pier 16 will be transformed into a Tommy carnival with food, games, rides and, obviously, a Ferris wheel. The runway show will reportedly host 2,000 guests — half of that number being consumers. Free tickets will be distributed to loyal customers, and the items featured will be live-streamed and shoppable both online and in-store right after the show (#seenowbuynow). After the show, "Tommy Pier" will remain open, and feature Tommy x Gigi pop-up shops, an offering of vintage Hilfiger items, a record store and a salon offering nail art and temporary tattoos.

Rebecca Minkoff #RunwayToRetail Show

Rebecca Minkoff is taking her show to the streets with a runway staged right outside her SoHo boutique. The majority of the audience will be fashion industry media and buyers, but fans of the brand can get a chance to attend by applying on her website.

Charlotte Tilbury Fragrance Launch
