The 'It' Items & Brands Street Style Stars Are Sure to Be Wearing at Fashion Week
The first day of New York Fashion Week has arrived! What's that you say? Yesterday seemed pretty jam-packed too? Oh hush. Today is the day that street style stars across the city will awaken, open their wardrobes and reach for the shoes and bags that best capture the zeitgeist of right now. Or even better, the not so distant future. A strong street-style statement is all about exclusive, rare and/or luxury items, worn triumphantly before they make their way to the red carpet or, god forbid, the gen pub. A few items have the cultural cache to transcend availability, like the Fenty x Puma fur slides (instant sell outs) and the latest range of Kanye West tour merch. (After the harsh reviews for Yeezy season 4, we have a feeling few showgoers will be proudly wearing that event's specialty merch this week.)
But back to the sidewalk catwalk. What will the industry's most powerful bloggers and editors be wearing this season as they check out the latest designer wares? We have more than a few hunches. Check out our list of it-items, brands and designers that we predict will be all over the street this fashion month.

The fur slides are already repeat sell-outs, but the ready to wear collection only hit stores for the first time this month.
New Saint Pablo tour merch
Especially the one with Kim Kardashian and Jasmine Sanders playing tennis in bikinis.

For those who feel Stan Smiths are now way too expected.
Vetements jeans (yes, still)

Vetements kept reworking denim at its latest spring 2017 presentation in July, so prepare to keep seeing the cult-favorite brand's jeans on the street.
Levi's wedgie jeans
Speaking of jeans, Levi's butt-lifting style caused quite a stir this spring and we think they have the staying power to last through fall.
Alexander Wang
Everything from Alexander Wang's teen goth-themed fall 2016 collection is fair game for street style bait, especially the sheer box logo shirts.
Off-White T-shirts

Virgil Abloh's graphic T-shirts are seasonal favorites, but the printed quote styles are particularly clever.
Patched Designer Denim
Keep your eyes peeled for Miu Miu patch denim jackets and Gucci patched jeans. It fits right in with the maximalist and DIY vibes in favor right now.
GucciGhost everything
GucciGhost, also known as Trevor Andrew, collaborated with Gucci on accessories and ready-to-wear pieces featuring his irreverent lettering. It's limited edition, clever and perfect for street style.
Prada Corset Belts
Prada's distinctive fall belts wowed showgoers then and will certainly be adorning their waists now.
Balenciaga Striped Tote Bags
The Internet has had fun comparing Balenciaga's striped totes with Sampeng bags, which has helped the style gain popularity.
