Uniqlo and Carine Roitfeld's partnership is still going strong: the global retailer announced that a third collection of the collaboration will be released at the end of the month. According to a trio of promotional videos, starring the French editor and Uniqlo's Design Director Naoki Takizawa, fall 2016 is her favorite range thus far.
This season, Roitfeld and Takizawa emphasize outerwear by playing with trendy silhouettes, like the MA-1 bomber jacket, and materials, from fur and boa to neo-leather and tweed. There's also a pair of wool-blend pants (at $49.90) in fashion's favorite shade of pink.
The collection's 43 styles are divided into four sartorial themes: "Black Wardrobe" consists of classic suiting, a long wool cape and a neo-leather trench coat; "Military Mix" plays with tailored silhouettes and camo print; "Fit and Flare" pays close attention to the female form through wool coats and pencil skirts; and "Leopard Lover," of course, highlights Roitfeld's signature affinity for the animal print, including a faux-fur coat for $149.90.
The entire collection — which includes accessories, apparel and outerwear — rings in between $9.90 and $199.90 and will hit Uniqlo stores and online on October 27. Judging from the success of Roitfeld's previous collections, we have a pretty good feeling this one will fly off the shelves.
