Makeup junkies and delicate jewelry enthusiasts, prepare your credit cards: Two of your favorite brands are about to team up. Brooklyn-based jewelry boutique Catbird tapped Nars for a limited-time partnership that will be available online only this weekend. Starting Thursday, Oct. 6 through Monday, Oct, 10 (while supplies last), shoppers who spend $200 or more on catbirdnyc.com will receive a free, full-size Nars Velvet Lip Glide in one of three shades.

This partnership is one that makes a lot of sense, considering the overlap among the brand's cult-like devotees — and the fact that Catbird's beauty roots run deep. The boutique sells a carefully curated edit of beauty products (think indie fragrances, fancy hand creams and gorgeous candles) both in their store and online, and Catbird's creative directors, Rony Vardi and Leigh Batnick Plessner, both count themselves as longtime fans of a rich, bold lip.

The Nars shades included in the promotion are (from left to right, above), Danceteria, a bright fuchsia; Toy, a deep, eggplant-y burgudny; and No. 54, a punchy raspberry red — all shades Vardi and Plessner consider staples that they'd wear themselves. So if you've been contemplating a Catbird purchase (might I recommend the Chained to My Heart neckalce, Coquette Ear Hugger or a couple of Threadbare stacking rings?), this weekend is the time to take the plunge.
