When Carine Roitfeld set out to start a new magazine after leaving Vogue Paris in 2011, she turned to friend and publisher Stephen Gan. Together, they launched CR Fashion Book in 2012 and quickly turned it into one of the biggest independent fashion titles on newsstands.

That partnership is officially over. In a statement from the brand (reported first by Business of Fashion), it was revealed that the license agreement between Roitfeld's Confidential Design NY LLC and Gan's Fashion Media Group was allowed to lapse on September 30 of this year. Publishing rights were then transferred to Roitfeld under new licensing agreement CR FASHION BOOK LTD. "Both parties greatly enjoyed their four years working together and are happy to support the title's transition and future growth," the statement reads.

Issue 10 of CR Fashion Book will be published in March without a new publisher. The move leaves Fashion Media Group with V magazine and V Man, having lost Visionaire in 2014. Gan and Roitfeld will continue to work together at Harper's Bazaar.
