What the Buyers Are Buying from the Spring 2017 Runways
This past fashion month was an interesting one for retail with several big-name brands, from Tommy Hilfiger to Tom Ford to Burberry, opting to show "see now, buy now" collections. Still, the vast majority of designers — and nearly all of those that took place in Europe — presented spring 2017 collections. So as we do nearly every season, we asked some of the top buyers what they had their eye on from the latest women's designer ready-to-wear collections.
A few trends definitely emerged — we'll likely be seeing a lot of trench coats, one-shoulder tops and flat shoes next spring — and a few brands were especially popular, such as Simone Rocha, Monse and, of course, Gucci.
