I am a big sweater person. This is ironic, because I spent the first 23 years of my life in the state of Florida, where one has an approximate two-week window in which it is "sweater weather." Now that I live in a city with at least a six-month "sweater weather" window, I can't get enough of them.
One area where my stockpile comes up short, though, is turtlenecks. They're a particularly tricky style, which you don't want to be too tight (unless you love lightly choking all day, in which case, don't let me kink-shame you) or too loose (lest you give off high school art teacher vibes, duh). Not only is this sweater by Aritzia brand Wilfred Free perfect on both counts, it's also the absolute perfect shade of green. It was so irresistible that I bought it in August — in the middle of a heat wave! — because I was scared if I waited until more appropriate temperatures, it would be gone.
Fortunately for you, it isn't! You lucky ducks can buy this sweater right now and not stare longingly at it in your closet for three months because climate change is ruining our planet but politicians are pretending it isn't and OH MY GOD please vote tomorrow.
Wilfred Free Lin sweater in Varsity, $195, available at Aritzia.
