Ever since Raf Simons vacated his role at the helm of Christian Dior to join Calvin Klein, the industry has looked on eagerly in anticipation. How will he communicate his signature aesthetic through the language of a new house? What will his relationship with the swiftly changing fashion calendar look like? Will the ad campaigns feature more hot people wearing CK underwear, or less?
A few of those questions will finally be answered this February. The brand just released its show date for the fall 2017 collection: it will take place on February 10 at 10 a.m., and will feature men's and women's ready-to-wear and accessories shown together.
Besides being the debut month for Simons at Calvin Klein, February will also mark the first time that the buzzy designer shows his eponymous collection at NYFW: Men's. The show will take place on February 1 at a so-far undisclosed location. In the past, Simons has shown his menswear collections in Paris, so his joining NYFW:M is a boon for New York that's expected to draw bigger names to the new-ish fashion week.
