For the majority of my life, I've never really paid a huge amount of attention to the shampoo and conditioner that I reached for in the shower. I had my drugstore favorites (L'Oréal, Tresemmé), and then fancier vices (Sachajuan, Shu Uemura), but when I met Parisian stylist David Mallett when he was stateside earlier this year, he introduced me to his incredible — and devastatingly chic — range of products. (Seriously, it doesn't get more stylish than that minimal, glossy black packaging.)

Let's start out with the shampoo: The formula — which contains macadamia nut oil — is super mild, so it gets hair clean without leaving it feeling stripped. Paired with the conditioner, the duo leaves my hair feeling I-can't-stop-touching-it levels of soft and looking shinier than ever. And for reasons I can't explain (because my science education ended with basic chemistry in college), using this combo enhances my naturally mostly straight-but-slightly wavy texture to the point where it actually looks like I styled it with soft "S" waves.
