Emma Watson and This Dior Gown are A Natural Pairing

Because feminism.

While other celebrities and fashion people were busy getting a bit kooky for Halloween, Emma Watson spent Monday evening looking damn near perfect in a gown by Dior. Specifically, she wore a black Dior "Le Diable" embroidered tulle long dress from the spring 2017 collection, which she accessorized with a sparkly clutch from the French house. (It's worth noting that this look does have a giant bat in the center of it, so Watson still managed to achieve a sophisticated kind of festiveness for Halloween.)

Watson updated the look slightly from how it appeared on the runway, adding a mesh-paneled yoke rather than opting to go bare-chested. However, she did style her gown with the same black choker the model wore during the show — and she nailed it.

This pairing — outspoken feminist Watson with a look from Maria Grazia Chiuri's triumph-of-feminism, millennial-oriented debut collection for Dior (remember the "We Should All Be Feminists" shirt?) — makes plenty of sense. Watson is far from the first celebrity to be spotted wearing fresh-from-the-runway spring 2017 items on the red carpet. In fact, she's not even the first one to be spotted wearing one of Dior's spring 2017 gowns: Bella Hadid did so last week. But this, of course, is no competition. Feminism means all women can get a piece of the Dior pie, right? (Oh, oops. Is that not how the old saying goes?)
