I don't buy sweaters very often. Truthfully, I can't even remember the last time I purchased one — two years ago, maybe? But that doesn't mean I don't own (or wear) them, when in fact I wear sweaters — crew necks, turtlenecks, all kinds of necks! — essentially every day from now through early March. I'm selective with my sweaters, and generally only buy one if I'm confident that it's a) great quality, and thus b) going to last me for years and years (and years and years and years). I'm also fairly insane with my sweater maintenance, taking my $15 Conair depiller to my cashmere every few weeks during the winter months.
All this is to say: I know a good sweater when I see one.
I saw this one while perusing the Kate Spade website last week, as I was working on reporting the company's third-quarter earnings — Cameron Street bags: STILL VERY GOOD! — and bookmarked it immediately. Not only is it the perfect grey, but I find the adorable wink embroidery both cheeky and timeless. Plus, you know it's well-made — Kate Spade knitwear doesn't mess around. It checks all my boxes and still gives me a little something extra. Enough to please even the strictest of sweater fanatics.
