When Maria Grazia Chiuri revealed her debut collection for Dior in March, we were won over by her unabashedly feminist message, which translated into diaphanous-yet-bold dresses and separates that have set the fashion industry aflutter. And for her inaugural advertising campaign as creative director of the house, Chiuri is continuing her commitment to empowering women.

Chiuri enlisted French photographer Brigitte Lacombe to photograph her spring 2017 campaign, which will be part of a larger project from the brand called "The Women Behind the Lens." Starring twin models May and Ruth Bell (who previously modeled together for last spring's Burberry campaign), the campaign's focus is clearly the clothes — and the women who wear them. It's not about crazy locations or posing with wild animals (although you'll find both in our ongoing roundup of the season's ad campaigns). In featuring tulle gowns alongside leather jackets and smart blazers in the same collection as cozy knit sweaters, Chiuri creates an interesting juxtaposition and dynamism that is contrasted in casting identical twins to front the campaign. Click through the slideshow below to view the campaign in full.
