Look, we all know that 2016 has been largely awful. Many important famous people (and one famous gorilla) died; so did Vine and several magazines. Politics happened. Kendall Jenner pissed off ballerinas. Kylie Jenner made lasagna. Pantone picked a noun for its latest Color of the Year. Several Hollywood romances shockingly ended (Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris/Tom Hiddleston, Bella Hadid and The Weeknd). But, praise be, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, the big screen power non-couple of the millennium, heard our turmoil and rose to the occasion. They're here to make us feel again, and so far, have done so with amazing results on their latest press junket.
With their third and newest film, "La La Land," due out on Friday, Stone and Gosling have been hitting the publicity circuit hard in recent weeks. They've hosted "Saturday Night Live," waltzed with Jimmy Kimmel, covered Vogue and worn some really great pieces of clothing. And on Wednesday, the pair literally cemented their enduring non-couple-dom at the TCL Theatre's longstanding Hand and Footprint Ceremony.
For the occasion, Stone opted to wear a Rochas pleated silk dress in one of her favorite colors, a mustardy yellow, from the brand's spring 2017 collection. Gosling wore Gucci, as a continuation of his Gucci-tastic wardrobe which dates back to his "The Nice Guys" press tour this past spring. Together, the pair looked charming and beautiful, serving as a small reminder that there's still some light and love out there.
And hey, we'll always have this (or will for as long as cement lasts):
