Dior plans to show cruise in Los Angeles
Maria Grazia Chiuri joins a growing list of designers to host a runway show on the West Coast. Chiuri will reportedly debut her first cruise collection for Dior on May 11. Additional details have yet to be disclosed. {WWD}

Nike exceeds expectations with its latest earnings report
The global athletic brand released its second-quarter results (ending on Nov. 30) of its fiscal year on Tuesday, which exceeded expectations with revenue up six percent to $8.18 billion from $7.69 billion. Nike's President and CEO Mark Parker notes that there's still fierce competition from Adidas and Under Armour, so the brand plans to "hyper focus" on growth, such as amplifying key item choices while reducing products, innovating designs and better brick-and-mortar stores. {WWD}

FIT to show "Paris Refashioned, 1957-1968"
Following The Museum at FIT's latest exhibit on black designers, "Paris Refashioned, 1957-1968" will open on Feb. 10, highlighting the French capital's role in the fashion industry and its coverage from American media. Selected objects on display will span French haute couture, ready-to-wear and accessories by such designers as Christian Dior for Yves Saint Laurent, Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, Pierre Cardin, Cristóbal Balenciaga, André Courrèges and Karl Lagerfeld for Chloé. {Fashionista inbox}
