New York based branding, business development, marketing and communications consultancy specializing in the luxury lifestyle, fashion and art/culture, sectors, seeks a stellar PR and Events Assistant to work closely with the Principal and clients. The successful candidate has at least 1-2 years of experience in working with press campaigns, product launches and organizing special events. He or she also must also be able to manage calendars, handle expense invoices, and manage the office.

The candidate must enjoy working closely with the Principal of the company but also be able to work independently. He or she must be proactive, efficient, and enterprising as well as personable and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.

Experience with fashion shows, familiarity with product placements, sample trafficking and relationships with editors is a big plus as is familiarity with FASHION GPS and CISION.

This position is a spring board for an expanded role into PR and Events Manager

Position starts in mid January and salary/benefits commensurate with experience.
