According to an anonymous source cited by Page Six, singer (and current most followed person on Instagram) Selena Gomez has signed a $10 million dollar deal with Coach to jointly design a line for the American label, in addition to appearing in future campaigns as a new face of the brand.
The announcement comes off the heels of the brand's fashion industry-packed 75th anniversary party and runway show last week, as well as the opening of a massive new Fifth Avenue flagship earlier this month. Gomez, 24, has appeared in recent advertising campaigns for Louis Vuitton and Adidas, in addition to being a spokesperson for Pantene and designing a clothing line, Dream Out Loud, for Kmart in 2010.
Update 12/16: Coach has confirmed the partnership, and has announced that the collaboration will begin with an appearance by Gomez in the brand's fall 2017 advertising campaign. "I am so excited to work with Coach and love the clothes and accessories designed by Stuart Vevers," said Gomez via release. Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers added, "The woman I design for is authentic, honest and possesses a romantic charm mixed with a cool, confident attitude. Selena embodies all of these qualities perfectly, but the fact that she has always loved Coach, and believed so strongly in our philanthropic mission, made her a true Coach Girl."
