Elsa: the ultimate winter wedding guest.

Although wedding season kicks into high gear in the summer, plenty of nuptials take place throughout the winter months, too. And while dressing up for the chillier season has its challenges, there are plenty of chic options to keep you stylish and toasty while celebrating such a special day. Just because the forecast calls for snow or a polar vortex doesn't mean you have go full-on Revenant

A few things to also keep in mind: keep the winter hat at home, so your blowout or updo stays in tact; closed-toe shoes are a must, or at least highly recommended; and your outerwear of choice should be in tip-top shape, should a snowy photo-op arise outdoors.

Don't let the colder temps cramp your style. Read on for three outfit ideas for a winter wedding.

Cozy Glamour

Stay warm in a full-length wrap dress made from a sparkly metallic knit, and keep up the glamour factor with a short faux fur jacket and gold tassel earrings. No-fail black pumps and a simple handbag keeps the outfit from looking too costume-y. Now go and hit the dance floor!

Ladylike LBD

The LBD is always a trusty choice for fancy gatherings, so upgrade the classic piece with on-trend ruffles and polka dots. Add Mary Jane heels, a velvet bag and pearl-drop earrings for subtle romantic details. Then wrap the whole look up in a long and slouchy coat with roomy pockets — perfect for stashing a pair of leather gloves, or a few extra wedding favors from the reception.
