Based in New York's financial district down the street from Conde Nast and Time Inc., The Riviere Agency is a boutique fashion, beauty and lifestyle PR agency that focuses on fashion PR and servicing clients for fashion shows at NYFW, Miami Swim Week and other fashion weeks around the world.

We are looking for a hard working, ultra-organized junior or entry-level publicist that has a flair for writing that references trends, pop-culture and witty language and a love for fashion.


The right candidate will not be afraid of hard work, be ultra organized, possess strong writing skills, be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and will be thrilled with excitement for every editor or stylist pull, celebrity placement and press hit they secure.

  • Writing and developing pitches and press releases and servicing same to media outlets
  • Following up on all pitches and media contact independently
  • Scheduling and attending desksides
  • Sending out samples and sample tracking
  • Managing all samples both in the showroom and sent via client showrooms
  • Continually researching to find new media contacts and editorial calendars
  • Assisting with monthly reports
  • Creating press clippings
  • Celebrity and stylist outreach
  • During NYFW and Miami Swim Week and other events duties will ALSO include:
       - Managing lists and invites via Fashion GPS
       - Securing sponsors for designers (gift bags, hair and make up, etc)
       - Researching to find celebs and bloggers attending fashion week and inviting them to shows
       - Coordinating media requests, interview requests and celeb requests
       - Managing client guest lists
       - Researching and assisting with seating charts
       - Managing on-site check in at fashion shows
       - Writing post-show press releases and servicing to media


  • Job type: Full Time, Permanent
  • Salary: Dependent upon experience and ability to meet all requirements
  • Standard company benefits including health insurance
  • Standard company working hours of 9:00am-6:00pm, flexibility required during NYFW and events (some weekends required)
  • Confirmation of appointment and eligibility to benefits, subject to successful completion of a probationary period

  • B.S./B.A. in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related area and/or 1-2 years of proven PR experience and placement experience with online, print or broadcast media
  • Great writing skills that go beyond proper grammar (we want a wordsmith that can use witty language, slang and pop culture references to create engaging pitches)
  • Great personality and attitude - no fear, amazing at networking, desk sides and out of the box pitching ideas
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently and have an entrepreneurial spirit focused on finding innovative ways to achieve success for our clients and the ability to work on several accounts at one time with hard deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure environment during events such as NYFW and manage media, celebrity and VIP relationships with ease
  • Team player who thrives on collaboration. Has ability and desire to interact with people at all levels
  • Superior organizational and problem solving skills
  • Invested interest and knowledge of beauty and fashion industries, and stays up-to-speed on current affairs
  • Ability to multitask various projects and strong work ethic
